Commack straddles the Huntington and Smithtown town lines, and it's family housing almost end to end — large developments of colonials and splits, full households, and furniture that earns its keep. It's also one of the highest-volume areas we work in for straightforward family upholstery.
Sectionals that never move
The family room sectional is the default here, and it has one consistent problem: it gets positioned once when the room is furnished and stays there for a decade. The deck beneath the cushions and the panel against the wall accumulate years of settled dust that stays completely invisible until the visible surfaces come up clean and the contrast becomes obvious.
The seam where two sections meet is worse. It's a channel that never gets vacuumed, and in a house with children it fills with crumbs, hair, coins and small toys. We separate the sections wherever the design allows, because that seam cannot be cleaned properly from the outside.
Sectionals are $150 for two or three sections and $220 for four or more, covering every section, the chaise, back cushions and the deck beneath. Nothing is priced separately.

Pets, and the smell that returns every summer
Pet households are common through Commack, and the most frequent call we get is about a urine smell that keeps coming back. The explanation is chemical rather than mysterious: urine passes through fabric into the foam, and as it dries the water evaporates leaving uric acid crystals bonded into the foam and backing. Those crystals aren't water-soluble.
So surface cleaning removes the visible stain and leaves the source entirely intact. When humidity rises, moisture reaches the crystals and releases the odor again — which is why a sofa smells fine in February and strongly of urine by July. It isn't a new accident.
Our $50 enzyme treatment covers the whole piece regardless of spot count. Where urine has saturated through to the frame or floor, results become partial, and we say so on arrival rather than afterwards.
Mattresses in a full house
Every mattress is $99 regardless of size, twin through California king, because the work is the same. In a four or five-bedroom house that's where a single visit pays for itself, and headboards at $99 finish the job.
The reason to bother: an adult loses roughly half a litre of moisture and a large quantity of skin cells into a mattress every night, and it collects in the top layers of foam where washing sheets can't reach. It feeds dust mites, whose waste proteins are among the most common indoor allergens there are.
Outdoor and patio furniture
Outdoor cushions take punishment no indoor sofa sees. Sunscreen is the damaging one — oils and titanium dioxide bond into the fibers, oxidise and yellow, and a cushion left under a cover all winter often never fully recovers. Add salt in the air, spring pollen and tree sap, and outdoor fabric accumulates far more than people expect.
We clean patio sectionals, deep-seat sofas, chair pads, sun loungers and poolside furniture in place, with controlled extraction rather than a pressure washer — pressure washing breaks the fiber surface, strips the factory water-repellent finish and drives water into the foam. Prices are identical to indoor. Best booked September or October. More on outdoor furniture cleaning →
What the work actually looks like
Real jobs photographed on Long Island — not stock images. This is the hand tool, the technique and the standard of finish you get in Commack.
How we work, on every piece
We read the manufacturer's cleaning code first — W, S, WS and X each demand a different method, and guessing is how furniture gets ruined. Dry soil comes out with a crevice tool through every seam, because adding moisture to dry grit makes mud. Then organic pre-conditioner with real dwell time, gentle agitation with a soft horsehair brush, and hot-water extraction with an upholstery hand tool rather than a carpet wand.
Fabric changes the method but never the price. Velvet, bouclé, microfiber, leather, linen and wool are all priced by the piece — see our fabric guide.

Questions Long Island homeowners ask
How much for a family room sectional in Commack?
$150 for two or three sections and $220 for four or more, including every section, the chaise, back cushions and the deck underneath. The figure does not change once we arrive.
Do you take sectionals apart?
Wherever the design allows. The channel where two sections meet collects crumbs, hair, coins and toys, and it cannot be cleaned properly from the outside. We reassemble everything before leaving.
Why does the pet smell come back every summer?
Urine leaves uric acid crystals in the foam that are not water-soluble, so surface cleaning removes the stain and leaves the source. When humidity rises the crystals release the odor again — which is why a sofa smells fine in winter and strongly of urine in July. Our $50 enzyme treatment breaks it down at source.
Is mattress cleaning priced by size?
No. Every mattress is $99, twin through California king, because the work is the same. In a house with several bedrooms it is worth doing them all in one visit.
How much is upholstery cleaning in Commack?
A three-seat sofa is $125, a loveseat $99, a sectional $150 or $220 by size, chairs $20 each and mattresses $99 any size, with no travel charge anywhere in Suffolk.
Are your products safe for pets and children?
Yes. Everything we use is plant-derived and non-toxic, with no chemical smell and nothing that needs to air out before the room is usable.
